Unit 5: Week 5 - Midterm EOC

Marketing agency RepNation identifies and manages college student ambassadors for companies as diverse as JetBlue, Microsoft, and Macy’s. It solicits potential reps through its own Web site and via classifieds on sites like Craigslist. Over the past few years, it has recruited a small army of ambassadors for JetBlue. “We used to assume the best reps would be the cool kids in any given group. But we learned that most kids are not cool. If marketers want consumers to feel a connection to their ambassadors and to feel that an ambassador is accessible, they have to look beyond the cool customers” who are typically thought of as influentials. The best ambassadors, he says, are “friendly, everyday brand loyalists who love to talk to people.” Having a few very good brand ambassadors for your company can be very rewarding and well worth the investment. Brand ambassadors are usually picked out by the amount of interest a consumer has in the company through social media sites like facebook twitter ETC.. The best brand ambassadors are very nice outgoing have a positive outgoing personality and has great costumer service.
